Network Chiropractic Care Helps Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is one of those conditions that was very much ignored by the medical community for many years. Let’s face it, they were ill-prepared to offer their patients any solutions or answers. In fact, many patients heard things like “it’s all in your head” or “you’ll have to learn to live with it”. While a psychiatric consult may be appropriate in many cases, this is not where the only problems exist. Now, Big Pharma has gotten on board with the diagnosis of fibromyalgia – read into that what you will – and is producing drugs to offer to patients.

So, if you are suffering with fibromyalgia, you may have likely tried these. However, there are many people who are looking for more natural and non-pharmacological ways of remaining healthy and well. The idea of their health being at the mercy of a set of brown bottles on their night stand makes them feel old and out of their control. There are ways of managing the pain and fatigue of fibromyalgia and its effects on your health and well being. Our Gilbert chiropractic office has been doing this since 1998. If you would like our help, contact us to get started. Now, here’s a story from an actual patient of ours…

What had you been diagnosed with and how did you feel before?

“I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and curvature of the spine.  Fibromyalgia leaves me with no energy, weakness of the muscles, muscle pain, and a complete life style change.   It’s a debilitating condition.  I have this large fatty cyst between my shoulders, that is hard and causes me much pain.”

How do you feel now?

“Slowly improving.  I can sit in a chair, and for the first time in years can feel my lower back rest against the back of the chair, after two months of treatment.  My hard cyst has diminished in half and is now soft tissue.  It is gradually relieving my shoulder pain.”

To what do you attribute your new found health and/or quality of life?

“Dr. Mike!  He has a very different technique.  My first office visit with him was so different than a conventional chiropractor, to be honest I wasn’t sure if I was going to make another appointment.  I’m glad I did though.  I feel like I have regained some quality of life back.”
